- just switch all windows and HUD off and it will look as cool as on videos - no *****pit view, for the reasons above - joystick: "sh** missed a rat with an artillery gun...well lets wait for a minute and try it again" - flyby view would be nice.....

I'd say just reduce the brightness of the stars to match real-life (i.e on the orbits of the outer planets in the systems, system star is as bright as all the other stars). Then everything will be dark and all ships will be just a bit reflective. ...
